The Advanced Preferences page offers deeper personalization options for the Currency Converter Pro plugin. It is designed for merchants with advanced needs who want to make fine-tuned adjustments.
Geolocation Auto-Detection
You can configure whether the plugin automatically detects the buyer’s region based on their IP address and switches to the corresponding currency. You can also set custom default currency mapping rules for specific countries or regions to achieve more precise localization.
Currency Memory Function
When enabled, the system uses cookies to remember the buyer’s last selected currency and automatically restores it on their next visit. This eliminates the need for repeated selection and significantly improves the experience for returning buyers.
Exclude Specific Pages
You can specify pages where the currency converter should not appear, such as the checkout page or certain landing pages. This helps prevent conflicts with Shopify’s native checkout process.
Third-Party App Compatibility
The page provides compatibility settings for common third-party apps (such as review plugins, upsell tools, etc.). This ensures the currency conversion function remains stable and prices display correctly even in complex app environments.
Save Settings
After making your adjustments, click the Save button to apply the changes. Since advanced settings can affect the entire store experience, it is strongly recommended to thoroughly test the storefront after any modifications to ensure all pages and functions work as expected.
