Cart Note — Setup Guide
The Cart Note feature allows you to display a currency reminder message on the cart page before buyers proceed to checkout. Since Shopify’s checkout page has platform limitations on currency display, the actual charge will be processed in your store’s base currency. By showing a clear note in the cart, you can effectively prevent misunderstandings and disputes.
Note Content Settings
In the text editor, you can customize the content of the reminder message. It is recommended to use clear and friendly wording, for example: “Checkout will be charged in USD. Prices shown are for reference only.” The feature supports multi-language editing, so you can write different messages based on the languages of your target markets.
Style Configuration
You can adjust the font color, background color, and display position of the note (e.g., above or below the cart items) to ensure the message is noticeable while maintaining the overall visual appeal of the page.
Enable / Disable
A simple toggle switch allows you to turn the Cart Note on or off at any time. It is strongly recommended to keep this feature enabled if you have not activated Shopify Markets local currency checkout, to protect buyers’ right to know and reduce potential confusion.
Save Settings
After completing the configuration, click the Save button to apply the changes. Be sure to preview the result on your actual storefront cart page to confirm that the note displays correctly.
